The 53-14 Houston Rockets are soaring. After finally losing a game for the first time since late January, they picked the pace right back up and won their last two. Of course, it’s been the likely MVP James Harden leading the way with his sidekick Chris Paul right beside him. Meet Freicer Perez – Just Another Compelling Arm in the Yankees’ System

It was December of 2014 when the New York Yankees handed out $10,000 to an 18-year old pitcher from the Dominican Republic. Except this then 18-year old stood at 6’8″ and threw a fastball that caught New York’s eye. So that $10,000 would be chump change – a huge bargain. When Freicer Perez eventually pitched his first professional game for the Yankees’ Dominican Summer League team in 2015, he had a fastball velocity of 90-to-93. Not terrible for a youngster, right?
